All is dream (homenaje a Mercury Rev) · Óleo sobre papel de lienzo · Juanjo Sáez

Oil on canvas paper. The size of a DIN A4. I remember summers listening to Mercury Rev in the car on the way to the beach. I have always loved them; this is the last album of theirs I liked, the following ones not so much, but the album title is wonderful. This little oil painting is a true beautiful rarity.

«All Is Dream» (2001) is the fifth album by American band Mercury Rev, the follow-up to the celebrated «Deserter's Songs»: dreamlike, orchestral, twilight rock. This painting borrows its title and turns it into an image.

One original in small format. One owner.

About the artist: Juanjo Sáez (Barcelona) is the author of «El Arte» (translated into six languages, with its original notebooks in the MNAC collection) and director of the internationally awarded animated feature «Heavies Tendres».
