Esta pintura al óleo la regalé a un amigo con el que trabajé mucho tiempo. Es un creativo, y todo creativo tiene un niño dentro — esa parte que imagina sin límites, que juega sin vergüenza, que ve el mundo como si fuera la primera vez. Quise que tuviera eso en su pared: un recordatorio de quién es en realidad.
Hay obras que nacen para un propietario específico. Esta era suya antes de estar terminada.
Juanjo Sáez es autor, ilustrador y director de animación barcelonés con más de 30 años de trayectoria. Su largometraje Heavies Tendres ha ganado premios en Fantasia Montreal, Animest Bucarest y Anilogue Budapest. Su libro El Arte ha sido traducido a seis idiomas y sus cuadernos originales forman parte de la colección permanente del MNAC.
This oil painting was a gift to a friend I worked with for a long time. He is a creative person — and every creative person has a child inside them: the part that imagines without limits, plays without shame, and sees the world as if for the first time. I wanted him to have that on his wall: a reminder of who he really is.
Some works are made for a specific owner. This one was his before it was finished.
